gubernatorial candidate Bobby Jindal picked up the endorsement of New
Orleans-based Black Organization for Leadership Development.
>> Ring it up: The Chimes, among the most popular restaurants in
Baton Rouge, will open a suburban location. Owner Tim Hood said the restaurant
will build on Coursey Boulevard near the clerk of courts building and should be
open in August.
>> Restaurant expansion: T.J. Moran and Associates continues to
scout Baton Rouge for new locations for T.J. Ribs. Stan Harris, company
president, said the firm remains committed to expand the Acadian Thruway
restaurant to new spots in town but hasn't found locations yet.
>> Entergy earnings: Entergy Corp. of New Orleans reported a small
increase in third-quarter earnings that were lifted by a sale of assets in
Spain.
>> Going condo: Condo developments are rising around the LSU
campus, and some existing apartment complexes are going condo as well.

Chachere's Creole Foods will be featured on Food Network's Unwrapped program
Monday, Nov. 10, at 8:00 p.m. A Food Network film crew traveled to the Tony
Chachere's facility in Opelousas in August to shoot the segment as part of the
Unwrapped "spices" show.
>> Rolling near the river: Baton
Rouge's downtown trolleys will begin rolling next Tuesday from the Sheraton to
state buildings on Third and Fourth streets. The free weekday service is
designed to provide quick service to restaurants and to move the thousands of
area office workers between the state's Capitol Park and private businesses. The
trolleys, says the Downtown Development District, are the first in a Louisiana
transit program to burn natural gas.
